New Shoes Again

It seems like I am always buying new running shoes.  I have been running in Asics for years.  I love the fit and feel of them.  I put a lot of miles on them (more than the 350 miles recommended) and I can't seem to throw them away.  When I get new ones I just rotate the old ones into my everyday wearing collection.  I recently threw a few pairs away and here is what I have left:

These shoes are made for road running, not for trail and mountain running which is mainly what I do.  Check out the wear and tear.

This rip happened on the second time I wore them.
So I decided to try some trail shoes, you know, the kind that are designed to be worn on trails.
I tried on some La Sportiva Wildcats the other day and they feel more rigid and have less cushioning but I loved how they held my heel and how the toe box is open.  I ended up buying them on and saved about $40.00 plus I got free shipping. I have to say that I am nervous but excited. I have 5 miles today and the trails are all muddy and icy.  Perfect way to break them in.

Just call me Starr.
